Daily Budget App Released!

Daily Budget Intro Screen

Hey all just wanted to give an update. I made an app! Nothing crazy really. I call it a fancy spreadsheet in fact. You see I created a budget in LibreOffice Calc and I came up with a way to budget that works for me. Namely I needed to break down my pay for a daily amount. I get paid weekly you see and to figure out how much money I can spend in a day and still have money I needed a way to do this. That's why with my budget I made in the LibreOffice Calc I broke it down as much as possible and used that data to break it all down to the day. From there I made it so my income has expenses deducted and what's left over is the Daily Budget.

Now since I have had some free time on my hands I have been learning as much as I can for my various hobbies such as drawing, and design. I like many others eventually started doing the 3d stuff and from there have gone on to trying to make games. Well you see I have been doing this for a long time but have never really got far in the "make games" department. I have been mainly focused on Godot. I have been using it since 3.0 release but was aware of its first release. I was the guy who was way to focused on the Unreal Engine. Cause you know it looks cool and the graphics are top notch. Of course that was because I really didn't understand a lot of things.

Not understanding things or missing information can be the most frustrating part about self teaching. My opinion. So with that being said I decided to hyper focus on one simple project. Thus Daily Budget was born. Is a really simple program build with Godot 4. Its in essence my budget spreadsheet recreated in Godot. Also with a much nicer UI than a bland spreadsheet. So a glorified and very specific calculator. I'm proud of it for it to be my first official project using Godot. If you want to check it out you can use the link below:

With that said I will be focusing more on actually making other apps and still make art too. I flip back and forth between them so hard to say exactly Ill be working on stuff. I do intend to update the Budget app in the future as well as get a Android version. Alot of what I am doing is new to me when it comes to using Godot but with alot of tutorials and alot of hours I would say that I have proven to myself that I can make a program and not just a regular program but one that I made for myself. Hopefully others find the app useful as well.

Feel free to reach out via comment or the contact page for any questions you may have on this or any future projects I may be working on.
