Froggo V2

 Froggo V2

You might've seen the original post about Froggo. If not, you can check it out here: Froggo V1.

Since creating that first 3D model, I decided to make a new version—one that’s fully riggable and ready for animation.
Introducing: Froggo V2!

This version features more detailed geometry in the arms and legs, and—most excitingly—poseable fingers. Here's a quick pose test:

I can move?

I can dance!

My goal is to create characters I can use across different formats—maybe a comic, maybe something else entirely. Right now, I’m also writing a book featuring Froggo, which I plan to use as a narrative foundation for the comic. Animation is also on the table (slowly learning that one at my own pace).

Between modeling characters, writing a book, doodling for fun, and posting here on the blog, it probably seems like I’m doing a lot—and I am. Burnout is very real. But I’ve found that rotating between these different creative outlets (and sometimes doing none of them at all) helps me stay in a better flow state.

For a long time, I didn’t really grasp what it meant to have long-term goals—something I wish I’d learned earlier in life. But now, by working on projects that naturally connect to each other, I’m building something bigger than just a single 3D model. I’m also learning how to break big dreams into smaller, manageable tasks. And with each piece that gets done, I see how they come together—forming something much larger and more meaningful.

This is the most recent render of Froggo along with the first paragraph from chapter 1:

"This would make a good starter wand" Froggo thinks.

"Froggo or so that's what his family called him was a Frogling. Froggo spends his time either at home or down by the river. He practices his magic and just generally enjoys the quiet and comfort of the idealistic and small town of Marshtown. Set on the outskirts of the Great Marsh, Marshtown is a small town with a chapter of the guild that dives the Noob Dungeon of Marshtown."
