I don't normally consider a digital drawing something to make a projects page about. This particular piece however was one that I found myself really trying to understand lighting and getting a sorta realistic look to it. If you watch the time-lapse video then you will see how I am trying to push the different lighting effects I have to create the form I'm looking for. I had an "Aha!" moment when working on this. Funnily enough I was working on this while listening to a tv show and when I looked up I see some interesting lighting in the scene and it helped me understand how to get the lighting effect I was looking to achieve. This particular style is using grey white colors and black for the darkest parts. Then I uses some light hue of the dark saturated blue to give it some more depth. I'm pretty proud of this as I am someone who is self taught. The only really way for me to understand something or have it "click" so to speak is by doing my self. I have watched tons of videos before but the different methods and styles can be over whelming when trying to learn certain concepts. By utilizing my skills that I have been growing and randomly seeing that scene in a show It clicked for me which really helped me to understand how to push the lighting here.
